The San Jose Team launched in July of 2011. Spearheaded by then San Jose Councilmember Sam Liccardo and in collaboration with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), San Jose Environmental Services Department, Destination: Home, eBay Foundation, and Santa Clara Valley Water District. Over the years, the San Jose Team has helped beautify creeks, city parks, the downtown area and helped clean up debris at encampments throughout the city.
