DST is a good place to really get your life started. Everyone supports each other, it's like a family. They had my back so I knew I could do anything. -Nelson, Sacramento Team Member

Downtown Streets Team Sacramento was launched in 2018 as a four-month pilot sponsored by the City of Sacramento. Since that time, our project areas have grown to include Teams at The X Street Navigation Center in Oak Park, and the Meadowview Navigation Center in South Sacramento, funded through SHRA. We also have two privately funded Teams, one sponsored by Blue Diamond Growers in the River District, and another in the Broadway Corridor sponsored by The Molina Cares Healthcare Foundation. We currently support 40+ Team Members in Sacramento with intensive, opt-in case management and employment services, and a true sense of community.

The DST opportunity allows our Team Members to not only experience regaining a sense of dignity through work, but it allows them to show their commitment to keeping our streets clear of debris and hazardous needles. Together, we are committed to caring for both our housed and unhoused neighbors. Our Yellow Shirts are recognized throughout Sacramento as a Team of supportive and welcoming individuals who are ready to make strides towards real change in their lives!
